Building Implosion

Is anybody going to partake in the building implosion on Saturday Morning in Fort Worth. I was thinking of it, but am pretty unfamiliar with downtown FT.W. and I am sure it will be crowded.

 

Thinking about it, as I work literally 4 blocks away and have access to the parking garage. However, there's a tall building in between my building and the Landmark Tower, so I don't know how much I could see even from the 21st floor.

Gasp!! My mom had an office in there before she retired 1988 & is located across the street from our old Haltom’s Jewelers location. That building was a classic & they really didn't build them like that anymore. It's a shame that it's just going to wind up being a parking lot. I might be heading down there & get some photos

 

Holy Crap!!! I could hear the blast from Casa de Huber.

Btw, I would have gone over there to check it out but I'm just not a fan of standing around in a rainstorm.

Jason, very nice pictures. They must have really used some potent charges on this building. The channel 8 helicopter pilot said that he could feel the concussion in the copter. Probably 2 years or so to build it and 14 seconds to put it on the ground. Pretty amazing. 2nd tallest building in the world to be imploded!
