Yup serious BS attempt. Made me smile.

But you have to wonder what the fuss is all about for going 120 or 130. Wide open highways with light traffic. No danger to anyone, really. Stupidly low speed limits and stupid overreacting by the cops. He should have gotten himself a good lawyer so that he wouldn't end up with a record. And the amount he would have saved in fines would have paid for the lawyer.

 

Yeah, if he was that worried about safety, he could have had the highway blocked off further ahead. And pointing that gun at him long after he's pulled over and stepped out and followed orders and walked backwards...way over the top.

 

Nah, I think he was just on a power trip. Very agitating for bullies when they don't get their way, and this one was all hopped up over the fact that it took him so long to catch up, and a further 8 miles to get the driver to stop. All those retarded orders...yeah, uh huh, they're for safety, right? Nothing at all to do with asserting control. Freakin' idiot. Exactly the wrong kind of guy to hand a badge and a gun to. Unfortunately, most of them are like that.

 

When I was talking to my lawyer about my last ticket, 87 mph, he told me if they had caught me at 90 they would have arrested me and I could have gotten 1 day in jail for every MPH above the speed limit.

Is it unusual to get arrested for speeding in other states? I'm in Louisiana.

I've been meaning to do some research about this just so I know what to possibly expect. LOL

 

Some states have it on the books as a felony arrest if you exceed 100mph. Cops use their discretion. It helps if there is no extended chase. And of course to be respectable, It also helps (greatly) to be respectful.

 

Yep. I've been ticketed for 101 in a 70 and wasn't arrested. I think the trooper just was pissed off because he wasn't noticed for 10 miles.

 

Yeah, but they are not paid to be pissed off. They are paid to enforce the law. Issue the ticket, make the arrest, whatever. Just stop with the screaming and drama. And put that gun away. He has pulled over and gotten out of the car already.

Over here though... 20 over is a felony, so the way I see it is... Everytime I'm behind the wheel I have the possibility of being arrested.
