Not that level of technology has anything to do with it, but....I didn't say "lesser car." I said "lesser series." Which it is.

 

The way things are going, probably even more high tech now.

 

With Porsche, Audi, Toyota, Honda, Nissan and Ferrari/Maserati eventually, it could start to pick up some proper sponsors and air time

The interior of the Porsche is beautifully hi tech compared to f1's. Looks like a vodka bar, which could attract Kimi too

I don't view it as lesser series but just not as popular as F1 with all the fame and big money. But a F1 world champ got place in endurance racing, even if button goes there i don't see it as a desperate situation but continuation of his racing career after his time in F1 ended. A young chap leave F1 after 1 season i would say desperate but not in button's case.
