After driving my California for six months it has become commonplace to receive numerous compliments regarding the car. It is not unusual to have someone ask to take a picture of the car with a cell phone or ask a lot of questions. I guess the most surprising was the grey haired lady at the gas station asking me if I like it better than a 430!! Goes to show you can't judge a book by it's cover.

But yesterday was the "best" of all. I had just completed round of golf (I subscribe to the school of thought that golf is like sex, you don't have to be any good at it to have fun) and a guy approaches the car and asked what model it is. I naturally assumed he knew it was a Ferrari and I told him it was a California. To which he replied: "Wow, they are making cars now named for States; do they make a Pennsylvania?" Gotta admit he had me on that one.

    Any similar "experiences" out there?

People really love the car. Pictures all the time even when I am driving and they are driving.
Was driving the 360 today and got a lot of thumbs up from pedestrians, drivers and motorcycle riders.

A lot of people look at my California, but it seems that only the guys turn their heads. Many women don't seem to be very interested in cars.

Not Texas women! I've had just as many women marvel at the car as men. Especially when they see my kids in the back!

The CA is a lot better looking car than the hard core purists on this sight give it credit for.

It's a terrific piece of machinery. Back at the 458 launch in LA, someone had a white one (the first one in white I've seen). I thought it was stunning.

From my experience, I would say.... "oh Yah!".

I might add a "yeeee... HAh!" to that too.

As a Texas native who lives in California and drives a California, I'd say both are special. Not surprised to find an affinity there.

A funny little anecdote: The first weekend I had my Cali, I drove it down to Carmel for the weekend. There was a wedding at our little hotel, and the groom (a 20-something kid) asked if he could take his bride's picture in front of the car. I said sure, and now my car is in their wedding album.

    That's a nice start.

I've started spotting them driving around LA. I've seen about 6 now, most within the past 3 months. They make my head turn and the exhaust note is purely Ferrari. I'd drive one.

Heads definitely turn whenever I drive my Cali, from men and women alike, induced in part to the seductive sound of the exhaust note luring them in. Like moths to a flame...:)
