Capristo exhaust...

good evening all... bored and was just wondering whats the difference between twin soun capristo and capristo stage 3?? i have the twin sound and am about to purchase sport cats and a video on youtube has a setup with capristo level 3 and sounds insane... let me know thanks!

Twin sound means you can open or close the valves to make it quiet or loud ( loud is similar to Cap 3 ) where Cap 3 is always loud without the option to close the valves

I been told the Cap 3 is louder than the twin sound when its opened

Please be careful with the capristos as many cars we have seen here in AZ have melted the third brake light.

 

Actually, the twin sound Capristo with the bypass engaged is louder than the Capristo 3. It is even stated in Capristo's website and also on several other websites. This is the reason I went with the twin sound myself. My ship also informed me the twin sound was the loudest as well.

 

If you liked the sound of an open valved exhaust why not get a valveless race type setup instead of have the fancy gizmos and remote controls from the Capristo setup?

 

Im thinking about trading my exhaust for that.

 

Agree that the twin sound is louder -when open - than the Level 3. But having seen both, the twin sound seems to emit a harsher sound - more F1, but not easy on the ear for any length of time.
Having agonized for a while, I opted for the Level 3. Sooooo glad I did. Simple, raw and effective - without the largely unnecessary gizmos.(IMHO)

Yes

 

From what I've heard the twin sound bypasses the muffler on open mode whereas cap 3 goes through the muffler. Twin sound is LOUDER but cap 3 sounds much better - more f1 sounding and not as droning. If you google videos on cap 3 and twin sound you should be able to hear the difference. Cap 3 sounds better

Not sure if that's entirely correct but from what I recall

 

Three reasons why I like having the ability to silence the exhaust are:
A. I usually silence my exhaust coming into my neighborhood so I am not that jerk neighbor waking up everyone at night especially when I have been out on the town.
B. It is way easier to have a conversation with your passenger without having to talk above the exhaust.
C. I have a pretty expensive stereo and sometimes I would like to listen to it at reasonable levels bs having to turn it up above the exhaust.

Now, of course when I don't want to do any of the three above and truly have hat bad azz F1 sound I can have it with the click of a rrmote. Twin Sound Capristo truly provided the absolute best of both worlds.

 

would anyone be down to swap my twin sound for level 3?
