Hello all. Has anyone had any problems on thier capristo equipped 360's? I've had mine on for about 3000 miles & have just experienced an awful resonance (like a chainsaw) between 3-4k rpm. Any experiences or thoughts? Thanks.

I had my Capristo replaced on my 360 for probably the exact same metallic resonance between 3-4k rpm. The metallic sound would increase db the hotter the oil temp got, and the rpm range would expand. Funny, I just had tdf360 ask me the same thing (as his was experiencing some new found noises near the same rpm range).

The noise wasn't present when I first got it installed, but became more and more apparent as the exhaust broke in. My replacement works fine now. - Tim

I have about 3K miles on mine and I have recently started hearing some kind of a rattle or resonance sound around that same rpm range. I will keep an ear on it and hope it doesnt get worse.

I don't have a Capristo but I heard the metal/weld that holds the tailpipes together can crack and can cause the resonance vibration/noise. I am sure that's what has happened to your tailpipe.

Not in my case. We checked for that first. The problem was inside the main unit. - Tim

Strangely enough my noise has gone away for now. It was a metallic vibration around 3500 rpm, not overpowering but noticable. I saw my mech at Laguna Thursday and he looked at the unit and wiggled the tips, was of the opinion it was the right pair that were vibrating together. I drove the car several hundred miles Sunday including 2 hours of track time at Sears, and noticed no vibration or noise at all.

I was told Capristo warranty would cover any costs, so I'm not too concerned. It'll have to be attended to some day soon, I'm sure, but it sounds like a minor problem. I'd still choose the Capristo, I know several Tubi guys who have had similar problems.

Or you can call ANSA and talk to Americans in English and they'll say,

"yes we have that in stock", and quote you a price and ship it......

You can use all the time and frustration you save to argue about P4s or something.....

I've had my GHL on two 360's over the last two years, sounds amazing and not one single problem. I like it better than anything else I've heard.
