i might be working overseas for the next 5years. I wouldn't take my F355 spider with me. Does anyone have any recommendations for a long term storage company that caters to exotics? I would prefer climate control and someone who can maintain the car.
I don't really have a state I call home so it wouldn't matter what area of the US it's stored in as long as it's in good hands.

Since you want maintenance, I would recommend a Ferrari dealer, such as Ferrari of New England. For that long storage time I'm sure you could negotiate a lower rate.

Zip Auto in Missoula Montana. Your car will be in some great company.

Speak to Schatten here on FChat. He's a Ferrari guy and runs a automotive storage facility in Austin

Did you check with JN? I recall the owner stores cars offsite somewhere but I don't know what kind of setup it is.

I second a dealer. I know my old 348 was shipped from Maranello to one of the HI islands. Start there. There is probably one on your island.

    Much appreciated Topes!

I have a place, and there are others too on this forum. Our climate control is kept better than my home. We can start up, keep running, put on miles, or leave it on a battery tender in a corner. But I'd recommend a bit of running once a week on a 355, if not a few miles just to keep the fluids going and up to temp (referencing "dangers of the 20 minute drive in the 348/355 section). You'll want to keep the gas level low, because it ages and goes bad in a few months. We supply battery tenders unless it has a specific OEM connector and can do anything from inspection/registration (well, in Texas that is), to detailing and sourcing work. Brian Crall is nearby and has one of our customer cars now.

You can drop me a PM and I can give you details on my facility and we can arrange all the shipping and updates just like a pet sitter would.

Thanks for all of the suggestions. I'm definitely looking for something mainland. There is no guarantee of returning to Hawaii after an overseas assignment.

Schafer - I sent you a pm about your place in Austin
