Hi guys, I just got my ferrari 3 weeks ago and have not washed it once as living in central London, I don't have the facility to wash it myself.

Just wanted to know which car wash you use in London. Or is there anyone you can recommend? Thanks in advance.

Depends also very much how "precise" you want to be with your car wash. Lots of people I know go to pretty basic hand car washes...and others go to detailers.

Which part of London are you?

    i am looking for a weekly car wash, cost between 20 - 40 pounds around notting hill/kensington area (W8, W2, W11, W12) .

Topas was in kensington before moving somewhere north. So not really handy for me now.

I heard a place called Posh Wash in Queensway Parking. Not bad but do not use two bucket method.

Another one called Over the rainbow - 10 pounds / wash and use two bucket method. Address is Over The Rainbow Detailing Ace Corner North Circular Road Park Royal London NW10 7UD (https://www.facebook.com/OverTheRainbowDetailing). But it's 20 minutes drive from me.

    Any other recommendations?

Highly recommend Topaz. After you have done a detail with them they will do the normal wash maintenance as well. No need to bring the car to them as they will collect and deliver for the detailing and for the wash they will do it in front of your home if that's good for you.
I have been using them for 2 years and couldn't be happier.

That's very cool. I am not really sure which level suits my car. Which detailing did you do?and how often do you wash your car?

I think I had done a level 2 or 3 but they will tell you what they believe your car needs based on the quality of the paint at the time. You can always discuss with them and tell them you want a lesser detail. They are very good and relaxed.

I wash my car 80% of the time through them (once a month) and once in a while with jet wash myself.

Thank you guys. Booked level 3 detailing for next week. Looking forward to the result. :)

Obviously after the detailing, the maintenance is very crucial. So I will go for the 5 wash package and I think the self jet wash at Shell is a good alternative option in the future. But I have never washed a car myself before and really don't want to add any swirls/scratches. :-S Do you think I should just simply rinse the car/wheels without any shampoos or mitt to get ride of the dirt for maintaining the appearance between each visit to Topaz?

I have friends who rarely clean their cars between treatment to save the surface - also the team at Topaz will be able to give you clear advice & instruction

Wash or spray detail my car weekly. I like mine to look showroom fresh everytime I go out in it. Normally detail the car once a year to remove any minor swirls/scratches which may have built up.

If you have a glass/quartz coating on the car such as gtechniq c1, then you should be able to get away with rinsing the car to get all the dirt off. Just dry the car or take it for a spirited spin afterwards to stop any water spots building up

Nabil and Mazin at Topaz are really top blokes! Can't recommend them enough.

My F40 is on its way from Milan directly to Topaz to have a detailing before the winter season.

Always had all my cars done by them and each time they manage to beat my expectations!

The new facility is unbelievable! You'll love them!

Picked my FF up from Topaz today. Job jobbed, it's looking lovely again. Top blokes with a good business ethic, they deserve your business.

    hi there,

i found a flyer on my windscreen last week for this company called gowashmycar.com

has anybody used them? it looks like some sort of online car wash order service... i actually quite like the tech aspect of it

other than that can anybody recommend any other decent mobile car wash services in west London?

    thanks!

That's Obscene and more money than I have available to buy food with each week!!!!!!

Go to Poundland and buy a bucket for heavens sake. Then donate the £39 each week to a local charity or soup kitchen that would benefit more than your car being clean.

I generally have washes done by my Albanian friends at our local Tesco car wash..... They do a good job, are very careful, and the added bonus is that they look out for your interests once they know you. I've had them warning me of the arrival of gypsies in the area, and offering their pest control services, warnings about police traps locally, everything. I even let their boss pick the cars up, take them away for the wash, and bring them back.

They are a great bunch of chaps, and I've even been to the cop shop to support them when a less charitable person locally had tried to accuse them of being illegal (which they most certainly aren't) and had them rounded up by the cops

This is a uk thread, so it could well be some confused socialist that loves ferraris, but doesn't want anyone to actually own, enjoy or apparently clean one!
