Sorry to ask about something that may have been already discussed over here, but I didn't find it (if someone can provide me the link in F-Chat...) :

Gachnang brothers in CH were building & racing sport prototypes in the '60s, called GEGGA.
Any information about the looking alike P3/P4 barquette is welcome, I've lost tracing around 1975 in France...
It seems to be based on a chassis Cooper-Monaco with a V12 Ferrrai 312 F1/67, and Maserati 5 speed gearbox,Drogo helped them to built it.
    Thanks

It is CEGGA with the letter "C" at the beginning, not Gegga.

    Marcel, you are right !
Cegga means "Claude Et Georges Gachnang, Aigle"

One or two of these interesting specials were at the Villars Ollon hillclimb in September 2007.

Moderator: this thread title should be corrected as already pointed out.

    best regards,

Paul Rilly is still alive... for whose who were believing the story he was dead...
He ran his CEGGA with V12 - 275 GTB engine at 1975 April test session Le Mans when engine blow up.
Then he filled in the ACO paperworks to race his Porsche, but in may '75, he changed his mind for his everyday use Lamborghini Islero. As I'm tracing his Islero for years and due to his lack of skill with internet, he asked me to discover where his CEGGA prototype stands today ???

Any help will be welcome in order to contact the present owner, Paul's wish is "to meet "his previous racing cars one more time !

Did not realize it was the same man who had shown up with that Islero: thank you for that! I hope that it still exists and that you find it!

Paul Rilly told me this morning, that he exchanged his CEGGA barquetta (with V12 broken and stolen Maserati gearbox) for an Alpine A110 Gr IV owned by another french from Bretagne. This happened in late '79, early '80.
    Since ???
    Any news is welcome...

Got Le Mans Islero to its new home...

Paul Rilly gave me another detail : the guy who came from Bretagne to his garage in order to exchange the Barchetta CEGGA for an Alpine A110 Groupe IV, had (prior to this deal) invited Paul to do a race in South America...may be Panamerica, Paul doesn't remember. Because his CEGGA gearbox was stolen, Paul declined the invitation for that race, reason why that guy offer him to trade his CEGGA. Barchetta went in Bretagne...and since ???
    Any help is welcome !

I would ask Edmond Ciclet, the foremost Lambo restorer in France, involved from day 1. Have you spoken to him? Beyond Lambo he also knew a lot of people in French racing such as what went on with some of the Solar ex Le Mans movie 512Ss and may well have an answer or know someone who does...

If you don't have his contact info PM me.

Fantastic photo in you avatar by the way I never knew the Islero was allowed out on the track back then: I thought it just showed up in the paddock and that things never got any further!

I know Edmond, but he can't help on this CEGGA topic...
BTW, Edmond provided by phone specific Weber set up to Islero Le Mans 1975 in order to match exhaust modifications on wednesday test...
