New owner of a 458. Just wondering if the CEL should stay on after the engine starts for about 15 seconds? Or is there something actually wrong with the car?

The orange engine figure is the onboard diagnostic system (OBD) indicator. From page 131 of the Owner's Manual:

"After turning the ignition key to position ll, it remains on for a normal self-check for approx. 20 seconds after the engine has started."

    Enjoy the 458!
