I will be going to Chicago the first weekend of October and staying around the magnificent mile area. Just wondering if anyone knows any good locations around that area to spot some exotics.

Rush and State St., aka the Viagra triangle. Grab some lunch at Tavern on Rush and you'll most likely spot a few. I'd also recommend Rebar at Trump or if it's not too cold (or even open) the bar on the 16th floor of the same building, fantastic views.

All that. Given it's October, don't go out of your way searching for exotics even if the weather is really nice. Enjoy the city instead.

I forgot to mention, Oct. 3rd is also LFSC's Concours (one of two Ferrari dealerships in Illinois). Should be a great event, starts around noon.

I'm sure they'll get back to you, e-mail might be a better route though.

    1. Take a ride along Lake Shore Dr. (don't drive south to the Museum campus)
    2. Go the Museum Campus and enjoy the lake & skyline view from there.
    3. Try out Signature cafe/restaurant on 96th (or 95th?) floor of Hancock building where you can have a good view of the city.
    4. Go visit Willis Tower and step on the all-glass balcony
    5. Take a walk around Navy Pier, enjoy some shows, or watch IMAX movies there.
    6. Definitely go to Grand Park (Millennium Park), check out the sculptures there, have a free concert night with Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
    7. You have to try the Architectural Boat Tour, very nice trip. a bit expensive per ride.
    8. Chicago-style pizza! (unless you are on diet)
    9. Many good restaurants.
    10. Shopping along North Michigan Ave.! (start from Water Tower then head south).

No ranking in my list. =)

Are people going to be bringing/driving (in) their exotic cars to this event (Ferraris, Maseratis, Bentleys) ?

A couple things to note, even if on a diet you can break it for a lunch, grab some deep dish :)

Also, it's the Sears Tower, not Willis Tower!

If you are in Chicago on Sunday Oct 3rd and you want to see a bunch of really nice cars catch a cab up to 4025 N. Ravenswood (About one mile from Wrigley Field). The event center that holds the collection is on the Ravenswood Art Walk and will be open from 11:00 to 4:00 on Sunday. It will be worth the trip. Check out Ravenswoodbillboardfactory.com for a peek.

LOL... every time I say Sears Tower I got corrected "it's now the Willis Tower!".

    =P
