    For a netbook, I think it's good. For a laptop, it lacks functionality - at least in my opinion.

    Ditto, but if you are into using google apps and all internet web apps, it should suit you fine.

    Thanks. Yep I use Google apps a fair amount but still need Office for work.

    What about versions, i.e. Samsung vs. Acer?

    It seems to me the Acer has a better overall spec (except for battery life) and it's cheaper via Amazon. But that is more a guess than an educated review.

    Thanks for the comments and recommendation.

    If I decide to get a new computer rather than replace my hard drive I might go with a laptop instead of a tower. "Ugh" either way...there goes my ipad/tablet fund. :(

    Wow, Google is really monitoring my emails. Less than an hour after getting a HP Touchpad update pushing more HP products I rec'd an email from Google telling me the Chromebook is now available at Amazon.

    Coincidence? I think not.
