appreciate if anybody has any experience or info on my current dilemma,,, 1987 3.2, my climate control buttons are all wacked out, when I depress the off button it doesn't stop the blower fan unless i shut the car off... my tech has attempted a repair w/ no luck... ive called around to the parts places that I can think of, they don't make this switch anymore and ive checked ebay and all the 2nd hand parts places,,,no one has them or any ideas on what I should do.. and of course the fan speed switch doesn't fluctuate the air flow, either full on or off,,,seems to be a typical problem,, but at least I can live with that... when I was a Porsche guy life was much easier....lol
have you tried taking out the panel yet? See if it's some short on the climate control module. Unplug the wires from it and see if your blower stops? If not - then there may be a short upstream. If it is a faulty unit - Ricambi seems to sell it for only $75 bucks http://www.ricambiamerica.com/car-diagrams/ferrari/v6-v8/mondial-group/mondial-3-2/heating-system/61131300-euro-push-butto.html it's the RHD unit - but you may be able to take out the 'guts' and insert in your casing?
I may have a spare button unit, I had many LHD units that are already sold and still have a RHD unit, let me check on that this evening.
NO, because on any question about Mondial parts you only have to ask 1 person ! Stefan (stekkefun4, see posting above) has any part you want ! I've got that control button unit just weeks ago from him, VERY fair priced, VERY good condition ! Trust me, I'm just deep in that theme ... hey guys, thank you for the info... I feel positive I will have a solution soon !!! really appreciate it !!! what would us Ferrari lads do w/o F chat and the fine helpful people who subscribe,,,????
unfortunately I have to say that the plastic casing of the RHD model has cracked and cannot be sold. I'll keep on looking for one for you.
RHD ??? in California ? Isn't it a LHD ??? I've kept my "old" plastic casing, only have changed the button unit. No problem.
Mike try spraying some electrical contact in the switch and work it without power ans see if that may clear up any crud ...never hurts to try the simple stuff call ferrparts and ricambi they may have a switch laying around too
No problem, Don ! see my thread: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/mondial/501126-mondial-3-2-coup%E9-59769-a.html
