    Sorry for the typo.
They are getting a lot of playing time. Terrence Cody is the starting nose tackle, the guy is amazing. Julio Jones is a WR, he's also amazing. Mark Ingram is a RB, he swaps with Glen Coffee and Roy Upchurch. Ingram is good for solid yards.

As for the rest of the 15, I don't know, I don't take the time to look into the depth charts that much. But I would venture to say that Bama is getting as much production from their freshman as any other team in the country. They are still undefeated, after all. Bama is back, baby. :)

I'm going down to Tuscaloosa tomorrow for the game against Ole Miss. Should be fun.

He's a good quarterback. He just looks like he sucks because he's surrounded by people that actually do. Mizzou is a top 15 team maybe. But they have no business in the top 5.

That is too frickin' funny. Kudos to whomever put it together. Funny part is, it will unquestionably bother Lowder more than Tuberville.

They have no business in the top 25 after the ass kicking we just handed them. My jaw was on the floor when we were up 35 nothing. Seeing a goose egg on the score board right before half time from the "high powered" Mizzou offense wasn't something I expected at all.

    TEXAS FIGHT!!!

Damn, this is a fine season!

'Bama playing hard-nosed, poised, disciplined football. Is this '92 again... we all know how that season ended!?!

Penn State finally eclipses Michigan after more than a decade of futility. Is this JoePa's curtain call, w/ style?!?

Texas is that good/under-stated, or Mizzou is that bad/over-rated? I think a bit of both.

Only thing better would've been a still-undefeated 'SC, at least for me (as most of my family are Southern Cal alumnus); but you lose sight of the prize, you deserve to be brought back to reality, sadly. . .

Lots of 'ball still to be played, but some separation from the real contenders from the media-hyped pretenders is taking place, finally!

When is USC going to start playing against college teams? I don't see any on their schedule.

Penn State vs. Texas in BCS national championship game? 12-0 'Bama loses to 11-1 Florida in SEC CCG keeping an SEC team out, lol. I'm calling it! :)

I think that would be a good one! It would not surprise me if Alabama loses one game on the way to the SEC championship game. USC also has a very good chance of making it to the BCS championship game.

No way man! Penn State in the big game. Joe Pa wins championship and retires in style! Will end up with 3 national championships (1 more than Blobby at FSU) as well as more Division I wins than Blobby. THAT would be awesome. THAT's chaos theory (quoting Jurassic Park).

My biased prediction: Texas falls to Texas Tech or Kansas. Alabama falls to LSU. Penn State falls to OSU.

    And...

USC sleepwalks into the BCS game. :D

I was in Tuscaloosa at the game yesterday, was a lot of fun.

Bama is very capable of going undefeated into the SEC championship game. But - they are also very capable of losing at least to LSU if they don't figure out how to play offense in the second half. Their star nose tackle, Terrence Cody was injured yesterday and will probably be out a few weeks. That will hurt on defense. But hopefully they can keep up their great defensive play without him.

The offensive problems seem to be turnovers at bad times, and having way too many 3rd downs to convert. Some uncharacteristic penalties recently, as well.

    Still 7-0, though.

Texas is rolling...scary team. Oklahoma can definitely pass but I don't think they have much defense. Penn St is certainly capable of going undefeated, as well. USC is incredibly talented but that one loss and the lack of a real tough schedule will hurt their chances of going to the title game I think, considering that there are still a number of other contenders. Gonna be an interesting rest of the season.

    Roll Tide.

Though I'm a big, I mean BIG 'SC supporter/follower, a one-loss SEC Champion (12-1) or one-loss Big12 Champion (12-1) deserves to head to the BCS Championship game over them, even if the Trojans annihilate everyone en'route to an 11-1 finish (provided the SEC/Big12 champion doesn't get a beat-down by a mediocre/lesser-foe prior to winning the respective Conference Championship Game).

I found this very interesting, if not a bit perplexing... 'Bama's margin over Penn State in the recent BCS rankings!

    Alabama (BCS: .949)
    (9) Clemson W 34-10
    Tulane W 20-6
    Western Kentucky W 41-7
    Arkansas W 49-14
    (3) Georgia W 41-30
    Kentucky W 17-14
    Mississippi W 24-20
    Oct 25 at Tennessee
    Nov 1 Arkansas State
    Nov 8 at (13) LSU
    Nov 15 Mississippi State
    Nov 29 Auburn
    {SEC Championship Game}

    Penn State (BCS: .867)
    Coastal Carolina W 66-10
    Oregon State W 45-14
    Syracuse W 55-13
    Temple W 45-3
    (22) Illinois W 38-24
    Purdue W 20-6
    Wisconsin W 48-7
    Michigan W 46-17
Oct 25 at (12) Ohio State
    Nov 8 at Iowa
    Nov 15 Indiana
    Nov 22 (20) Michigan State

If both win-out, it's likely a 13-0 'Bama will head to the 'big-show over a 12-0 Penn State! I'm not sure how I feel about this, as I do like 'Bama but I'm a long-time State College fan (due to my days in Penn') & I feel the 'Lions have been more dominant thus far.

Hopefully style points will matter, if 'Bama eeks out nail-biters over lowly/under-achieving rivals & Penn State 0wnz/lays-waste to all remaining opponents. Then again, if 'Bama just wins convincingly from now till the end, JoePa's guys won't be able to sway enough voters no matter what they do, I'm quite sure! :(

Nonetheless, it'd be sweet to have two unbeaten/powerhouse-programs w/ history/heritage going head-to-head in January!
(ie. Texas / 'Bama / Penn State)

Now, if all these suckers lose one here-or-there... ugh! Hello Florida (my sleeper pick) & USC (my personal pick), and perhaps even Oklahoma (still formidable) & LSU (some highly ranked schools they can still knock-down to climb the rankings)... possibly even Sweater-vest & Ohio State or Black'out-blackeye'd Georgia! :D

The BCS rankings are complete bull****, Florida got completely shafted and USC by some magic is ranked #5.

Florida Harris Poll 6 USA Today Poll 7 Comp Avg 12 actual rUSCanking 10
USC Harris Poll 5 USA Today Poll 4 Comp Avg 10 actual ranking 5

    USC's schedule is a joke.

Florida hasn't beaten anyone worth mentioning except LSU. Beating Arkansas and Tennessee didn't help at all. Neither did beating Miami (sorry BT) or Hawai'i. Keep in mind we lost to 3-4 Ole Miss at home. That ain't looking pretty either. If they can win out, meaning wins over UK, UGA, Vandy, FSU, and possibly 'Bama, they will shoot up the polls. Their strength of schedule will pull them past teams like USC who play lowly opponents (this year).

I can't see PSU surpassing an undefeated Alabama. Alabama's narrow margin of victories still wouldn't allow it. Not after the respect the SEC has gotten in the voters' minds after the last two seasons and the downward spiral the Big Ten has taken the same two seasons. That's not even including the championship history of 'Bama or even Saban's for that matter.

I would love to see Joe Pa in the championship game and I think he will make it. I have a feeling 'Bama will lose once more in the season with that being most likely in the SEC CCG.

I think Penn State is the most likely to get in. Besides a tough OSU game they really only have Michigan State as a reasonable game left.
Texas looks the best so far, I think they can go undefeated also. 2 undefeated teams playing for the championship would be great.
If Alabama can manage an undefeated season (I don't think it would happen) Texas / Alabama would be a great matchup.
    GO CANES!

Regarding Florida's current position in the eyes of the BCS, a lot of if it is attributable to perhaps where the voters see the Gators ending up in the end of the season, I'm thinkin'! Meanin' many don't see them being in the top-5 when January comes around.

I don't agree w/ that. I *think* the SEC will come down to either Florida or 'Bama.

This bias/preemptive-prejudice while trying to prognisticate is sorta like how pollsters anticipate 'SC to be top-3 by the end of the season, and possibly Ohio State finishing top-4 before the bowls are awarded/announced!

Regarding Texas, I'm still not packin' my bags for the BCS Championship Game, let alone the Big 12 Championship game. Mack Brown & his very elite teams (around once every few seasons) lose their focus late in the season. A part from Vince Young's (2) wins in the Rose Bowl (one for the National Championship), the Longhorns have been big-time underachievers... sure, 10-win seasons abound, but there should've also been a handful of invites to BCS bowls over the years instead of Holiday/Cotton Bowl excursions (:vomit:). . .

No problems here. I am a die hard Cane fan, but I am realistic in my views (I think). We are a decent, young team, but not anythiong great this year. It is not a great achievment to beat us at this time. I am enjoying the season without the usual heartburn associated with having a contender to cheer for. I'm just glad we overcame an 11 point deficit to beat Duke this past weekend. Losing to Duke would be too much!

Yeah, it's really frustrating to watch. Despite being a young team, they really do have the talent to go all the way but there's something about halftime...they just stop playing as tough in the second half. And maybe that is because they are young.
