I'm okay, though. Just a fractured head bone, a broken jaw bone, and crumpled arm.In rushing out of the house, I forgot that there was a flight of steps going down off the front porch and I stalled out and undershot the side walk. It was worth it , though, 'cause i heard a P-51 going by and I just got a glimpse of it before I passed out in the grass. Well, all of that ain't exactly how it happened. I actually hobbled to the door but I really did see the -51 before it went out of sight. Great sound, one of which we heard every day during the war.

Remember - call me if you need a pep talk about the amazing benefits of getting those old knees swapped out for new models.

    Bob,
Just sit back in your easy chair, turn up the volume, and listen to this...
whenever you feel the urge to go rushing out of the house.

It may just avoid your injuring anymore craniums, mandibles, or appendages.

He doesn't just do this for 51's either. He does it for anything with a big piston engine.

Don't worry, I tossed an old mattress at the foot of the steps. That will catch him next time.

I don't know why I should go in and get a new landing gear. This one retracts really good sometimes.....even without hitting the switch.
