    How about this..... C-17 1000' above going the opposite direction. Unfortunately didn't have the camera ready and only got one shot as he was about to pass overhead.

    looked up vapour trails on youtube, check this vid of a fighter plane http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koAQN3n4pcw

    about 20-30 seconds in is an awesome speed of sound cone effect, the rest of the vid's ok, but the cone is must-see.
