I believe that the Local Cruise Nights are now underway! I stopped by the one in Villa Park tonite for a little while. I am not sure what their schedule is. I'll find out and post.

I'll post a schedule here. But the "usual" Suburban Cruise Nights, that I know of, anyway, are:

Wednesday Nights: "Elmhurst". York Rd., and Addison St. just North of the R.R. Tracks Downtown. Eat at "Pizza Palace" on Addison St., just doors away from the Legendary "Al's Hobby Shop". Al's also has 1:18 cars, (Ferrari's, too) Slot Cars, (Ferrari's, too), everything! "Cold Stone Creamery" Ice Cream on York Rd. Lots of places to mongia!

Thursday Nights: "Westmont". I have to check that out though. I heard a rumor that they may not have them this year....I'll check.

Friday Nights: "Downers Grove". Downtown on Main St., by the R.R. Station, and South of the R.R. Tracks, and some side streets. This is a good one. And, there are lots of great Restaraunts and Pubs.

Saturday Nights" "Lombard". St Charles Rd., West of Main Street. A few good eating spots, too. Like "The Real Texan BBQ.". And they usually have a live band. "Sweet Street" an Old Time Candy Store has all sorts of those Old fashioned "penny candies" (That are now a Quarter and up....:) ) My buddy, Jimmy and his Wife, who also own "Ciao Bella" Italian Restaraunt in Lombard, have a really nice coffee Cafe here called "Cafe 101" right on the S.W. Corner of St.Charles Rd. and Park Av. Nice place...great Coffee!

Plus, There are Kerry's "Double K" shows all over the area. He sent me an E-mail awhile back with some dates. I'll look it up and post.

And, if anyone else knows of any other ones, please post 'em right here!

O.K., Folks. It's looking like the local Suburban "Cruise Nights" are now underway. On my way back from yet another awesome visit to FVM/Lamborghini-Chicago this Afternoon. I cruised through Downtown Lombard. And, by 4:30PM. It was already getting filled up with all sorts of Cars.

The usual cool Muscle cars and Old Cars. Which I really love. But, I also saw a really nice Red/Tan Maserati Merak that I have seen there before. That car is like Brand New!

I have seen Exotics at these Cruise Nights, too. Lotus Espirits, Maserati's, Ferrari's, Cobra's. And I always get a great response with my own 308 at these too. Poeple can't believe that it is a 25 year old car, with a 30 year old design.

    Check 'em out!

Guess that makes 3 of us that checked out the 328 today.

I thought it looked pretty good & sent some fairly detailed notes to Easyrider7467 who was looking for people to look it over. Other than a few rock chips, a scratch to the right of the front badge, and fairly minor age lines in the seats, I didn't have any really big hits on the car. Curious to hear what you and Frank thought.

LOL! Darn! I was going to stop by there on my way back. But, when I did I saw that you guys had left.Though, I did spend about an hour at FVM...:) LOTS of goodies there, eh?...:)

I'm going out driving tomorrow, too. I think I'll stop by D&M Motorsports and look at what they have, even though they'll be closed. Whats new and exciting over there?

Yeah, I thought that the 328 looked really nice. If I was in the market for one now, I'd buy it. I thought it was very clean and well kept looking. You can tell that it was definitely stored inside.

The only flaws that I saw were a few teeny rock chips in the front. A very easy touch up fix. The spoiler underneath was clean and virtually unmolested. Other than that, the Paint was great. And, IMO, it had a "New Car" patina.

The Interior was like new. Very minimal, not really even noticable wear on the drivers seat. I bet that it could easily be "Flexed" to look like new. But, I wouldn't even bother. It looked good to me. The rest of the interior- dash, carpet, headliner, console all looked great.

The Glass looked nice. And all of the black plastic and rubber weather seals looke like new. Not scratched or anything. IMO, that makes the car look that much nicer.

The wheels didn't have Any "Curb Rash" or Scratches at all. They were like new, with newer tires.

The engine compartment was clean, with no crud or grime anywhere. I did not see any leaks or drips.

IMHO, it is a very clean, very nice, very well kept example of an 18 year old 328. One of the nicest that I've seen.

They also just just got in a later 1988.5 model Testarossa. Red/Tan. For about the same price....:)

The 328 looked good. Paint was very nice. Not familiar with the 328 but problems noticed: passenger window seal ripped, cracked drivers side headlight, tires were OK but mismatched, Not sure about the small badges on front of the outside mirrors, the rear louvers and screening over the engine almost looked painted. The wheels were nice but I can't say I like the convex shape with the anti-lock brakes. Took a quick glance at the Testarossa, drivers seat re-dyed, walked away! 328 inside, TR outside.
