Maybe im not seeing something or maybe im uninformed. I know each has their own taste, as do i.

But for some reason, i just can not stand the color Cuoio. I have had it and try real hard to "grow on it" but cant understand its massive popularity.

I prefer rosso corsa on nero. Can cuoio fans tell me what is it about the color? Is there some historical, cultural... Any value that im missing?

Whenever I see that color mentioned, I read it as "Culo," because to me, it looks like ass...

My Italian is rusty, but if memory serves, "cuoio" translates into "leather" or "hide". So in a Ferrari, a cuoio interior would be something that's natural hide or something to that effect.

    FWIW.

I love that color - a bit darker and less delicate than tan.

Of course, I also do like ass, if it be behind the proper woman.

I like the color - I ordered it in my black 458.
I think cuoio looks good with black carpeting and black CF trim.
    Here's a pic.

Many people like it... I think even more when it comes to red exterior.

On my ros cor 458, i had to get used to the cuoio. Never grew to like it.

Maybe on grig silv ext, i can think it goes well but uhhh... What am i missing?!

I quite like it if it is combined with the right exterior color. For instance on a 355 or 550, I think there is no better combination out there than TDF Blue over Cuoio.

(And in a black 458 it certainly looks sharp too... Nice choice, Toggie!)

Ahhh... Could there be a metaphorical symbol? Ferrari represented by a Cavalinno. :T

    Strictly litteraly:
"Cuoio" means "leather"; as a color, it would be translated more or less as "natural leather".
    "Pelle" means "hide".

But in usual, day-to-day parlance, italian tends to use "pelle" in some circumstances when most other languages would use "leather": when you say a "leather jacket", they would usually use "pelle", not "cuoio".

An advantage of cuoio is it does not show dirt as much as beige and is easier to keep clean.
