I heard David Love passed away Friday? I saw his Testarossa at Sears Point Raceway Sat. An official there told me. RIP! Very nice guy to talk to.

If true, that's terrible news. I've enjoyed many conversations with him at Laguna Seca over the years. Truly a great guy.

David was a man who drove his cars to the the limit even when they became worth so much money.Allways enjoyed talking to him and all his stories of the early days. See Forza #100 for the story of over 45 years with a Testa Rossa. RIP David. Gavin

A great man, thought me everything I know about tuning the V12.
He will probably go down in history as the one multi $$$ Ferrari owner that did the work with his own hands. He had volumes of handwritten notes and sketches on 0754TR created from the teardown and repairs he had gone thru with his TR. I admired that in him.

David was a great man. I met him when I was 16, he gave me my first ride in a vintage Ferrari. I rode on top of the cooler he kept in 0754 around the pits at Sears Point raceway at about 10mph, it was great! :). A couple years later he let me drive his TDF, which of course will always stay with me. David always made time for people with questions about his cars, and he was more than happy to teach you something every time you saw him. He was a very humble, intelligent, sweet, forward man who will be missed by myself and many others.

Just as I remember him also, on or off the track.

    RIP, David

Just saw the post in the Norcal section...

I never had a chance to chat with David but spent a lot of time viewing his beautiful car in Monterey. What a history and a wonderful story.

I was crossing the bridge at the corkscrew at the time this photo (not mine) was taken.

I assume the Driver was David- thanks for the wonderful memories!

    Rest in Peace David
