I am redoing the bodywork on my 246 coupe and there is a ton of lead above the air intakes below the rear quarter windows. Most of the seams and body joints are leaded too. Is there any consensus on whether lead is passe? Are the modern fillers superior? Should I get the lead out?

Scott Bonowski has painted several Dinos and commented to me that the buttress area that you noticed typically have heavy lead filler. Apparently it takes quite a bit of rework.
The last 4 Dinos he painted have gone platinum
