Hi, the following jack came with my Dino, when I bought her 18 years ago. Always assumed it belonged to the Dino but with the wisdom acquired through the Compendium etc - I now wonder ...

Is this a Dino jack at all? I noticed the earlier Dino handles have a curved handle but the rod is welded lower, the later Dino handles have a straight handle, but their foot has a 100mm diameter whereas mine is 75mm.

The brand and the colour (and its patina) look to be fine, but what jack is it, any thoughts?

Could very well be an Alfa Romeo Jack that has been transformed.
    be careful!

The diameter of the rod is 17mm. The handle curve is unusual for a 246 jack but the 206 jack I believe the Battaini had this curve.
Could this potentially be a 206 jack or is it an entirely different animal?

I think it's another animal. Very early 246 L series jacks are the same as 206 jacks I believe and should look something like this:

Further details can be found in Matthias's compendium P107.

    Thanks Peter,

Yes the Compendium is the main reason I am puzzled by this particular Baittani jack accompanying my Dino for so long already. I was hoping someone would recognise the type - and put the right car to it.
So far, Alberto's Alfa Romeo is the best bet, so perhaps one for the Alfa Romeo forum instead...

I found this somewhere on the internet some time ago (all credits to the editor). Perhaps this can shed some light on the dark and confirm (or rule out) Alnerto's assumption!?

Thank you Götz that looks like the AR jack bible to me! Very useful. Most AR jacks appear to be black.
I did find a yellow one at the 330GT registry pages, listing the 330 and Dino jacks, but also mine (albeit with a straight handle) in the middle.

Maybe. Looks like an Alfa handle, but the 60's versions I've seen have a square insert for the jacking point and a different attachment to the post.
