I would like to plan a Yosemite drive for the late spring for all Bay Area FChat members. If we get a LOT of people, I'll ask Melodie to cater a dinner for us at the Best Western Hotel in Sonora.

Just seeing how many people would be interested at this time. My plan would be to meet at the 120/108 junction in the AM on a Saturday. Drive to Yosemite and back to Sonora. I'd have all night patrolled security for the cars at the hotel where I could get a block of rooms. We could do dinner and have a bus pick us up to go to the Black Oak Casino for some fun! Sunday AM, we could all meet for brunch and maybe golf at Mountain Springs in Sonora.

Depending on the date, I'd go. However, we need to set this up at a time well after the snow has melted, and the rocks are off the roads, say early June, late May.

It sounds fun. However, I don't trust my Dino to not break down that far from home. I have a flatbed operator always standing by and that's why I hang around in the south bay area:)

I hope when spring comes and this infernal rain stops that we get some drives going again. It was fun there for a while.

Peters, please keep me posted as to when you are thinking of doing this......I would love to ship my F-car down to FoSF a week or so before hand and have the 5000 mile service done then fly down and join you guys for the drive.
Sounds like a lot of fun!
