    Gents/Ladies,

The current DVLA auction is in progress and there are a few intersting plates on there, Ferrari related of course.

Prices are hammer price, and do not include VAT and Buyers Premium etc etc...I think this ads about 30% to hammer price.

    F355GTB - £7000
    F430BLK - £3600
    F575RED - £900 (bargain!)
    430FER - £8200

Anyone off here purchase any of these?

    Jamie

360 LXL just sold too, for £550 plus VAT and prem. Not an amazing plate, but a nice non-dated one for a 360 owner.

I had been waiting for this auction to bid on F355GTB for a couple of months.

The reserve was £350 and I thought I would give it a go on the slight hope that I could get it cheap (probably would have gone to about 3k I think). However I didnt even get to bid because it opened at £6000 as there were two written bids in. I shall have to continue looking I guess.

Hope it went to a good home but suspect it went to a dealer.

Tend to agree here, but I wonder if it'll sell for a profit (or even the sale price).

Even the best 355GTBs are now "only" mid-high 50s. Will anyone spend 7k on a no. plate for one?

Even if there was, not sure it could ever use the plate with it having to be first registered in Sep 05.

£54k plus VAT, plus buyers premium, plus £80 DOT fee. Probably closer to £70k when all is said and done. And, at the end of the day, it SCR 4 P, not SCRAP.

    Still, each to their own.

The big surprise for me was V 31GHT didnt sell. Thought that would be worth a grand or two.

I'd guess that someone with the passion rather than a trader. As you say, how many chaps are prepared to put £7k on a plate on a £50k car? I wouldnt want to invest in it, but it would be worth the money if its your pride and joy and that'd just finish it off.
