I recall not long after he died (within a few weeks) a photograph was on the news of elvis in his black ferrari. The story was the day before he died a fan was at the gate of graceland and snapped it as Elvis pulled in. If memory serves correctly, it was a little blurry but it was clearly THE KING, smiling and waving to the fan just a few feet away. Im pretty sure he was alone in the car. So you ask what's the significance of this photo??? Well at the time, Elvis was likely the most photographed person in the world and the best they could determine, this was the last photo taken of him while he was alive? Driving a Ferrari! The man had style! Joe

Probably a euro car to start with that had the US side markers put on. I love the knock of Borani's. They look great with the black car. Anyone have the above mentioned pic of Elvis driving it?

Marylin? She died in August of 1962. Not likely she could have been one of the most photographed people in the world in August of 1977 (when Elvis died).

Don't be so sure, her media exposure was so high that she once threatened to spill acid in her face if the Paparazzi didn't back off. Also keep in mind that Elvis spent many years under the radar

Ok, I' gonna beat this horse dead.....

PittsS2APilot said "Well at the time, Elvis was likely the most photographed person in the world". "At the time" implies August 1977, when the photo of Elvis in the GT4 was taken.

You said "Jackie O ? Marilyn Monroe ?"

I said that it was not likely Marilyn was competing with Elvis in 1977 for "most photographed" as she was already dead at the time for 15 years.

Then you said "Don't be so sure".

But I am pretty sure Elvis was more photographed in 1977 than Marilyn.

Unless of course we're talking X-Files and conspiracy theories, than yes Marilyn and Elvis are really still alive and on a spaceship, with JFK, hence all the photos of Marylin taken in 1977, which pee'd Elvis off, which is why he went underground to begin with.

    ;-)
