My EZ-Pass works half the time attached to the windshield, which means I have to wait for an "officer' the other half. Other than holding it out the window , are there any other suggestions? I tested this particular EZ -Pass in another car and it works every time.

we were able to velcro our toltag to the upper left portion of the drivers side window, it seems to work when we want it to.

My EZ pass seems to big to leave permanently mounted as it would be to the left of my mirror instead of in front of it. Same for everyone else?

I painted my EZPass black then stuck it to the right of the mirror right at the top of the windshield and it works great.

Many cars have special windshield treatments to help keep heat out of the car- if your car has that, the treatment also has a nasty habit of reducing the sensitivity of EZ pass--- and-- your radar detector. The solution for both is to mount the sensitive bits away from the windshield. So custom install for radar and the front license plate mount for the EZ pass- which I am sure many people don't want. Id speak with your dealer and also the better local car customizers and see what they think.

I have a similar problem with a transponder to open the gates to our community. Works 1/2 the time. Guards say that the slope of the windshield sometimes makes it take longer to recognize. (???) Maybe there is NAV interference.

What is a front license plate mount? :D :D Those should be illegal on a Ferrari.

My daily driver is an M3. I hate things stuck on the windshield so I hold my EZ Pass up in the open sun roof. Angle seems to have a very real effect on performance. Horizontal, it works sporadically. Officer told me to hold vertical. Works perfectly. Somewhere as the angle increases, performance becomes compromised. Must be like the antennas in the iPhone 4.

Too funny.........would love to do as you suggest. They refuse to allow me to keep the transponder 'free'. Must be attached.
