For the second week in a row, I notice there were empty seats at the race. Humm.

    Maybe Bernie is losing it.

I saw that too, lots of empty seats - at the cost of tickets it's no wonder. We went to Magny Cours a couple years back and it was right at 1000 USD for our seats/parking pass for the weekend. Our Sunday seat next month in Imola is 230 Euro (bought early).

All they need to do is cut 1 day from the 4day event(3day f1 action) and it will bring costs down for everyone. The "current" engine rule makes it hard for the teams to do many practise laps.

possibly cutting the sanctioning fee to something affordable for the circuit would help cut ticket prices, I mean, if you run a racetrack, where do you recoup 20 million dollars ? And cutting the number of folks allowed over the pit wall to change a tire to about 7 would help cut costs for the teams as well - it wouldn't hurt any one team because all would have to do it.

There are all kinds of things folks can do to cut costs, but some of them would hinder 'advances in technology'.
