Pretty bad ass looking. Just not feeling that nose without any headlamps.

Cheers for that i believe it was bought from 'dutch racing promotions' which i found out this morning. As for the nose i thought the same . It was supplied with another one with lights and am putting that on soon, once all the other stuff is done.

It was offered at the Bonhams Gstaad auction December 2006, later seen for sale in Europe asking Euros 285,000 during 2007.

As mentioned above it was in the past a car of Dutch Racing Promotions.

David Hart has driven it in the Ferrari/Porsche challenge in 1996. In 1997 the car was sold to Michel Oprey (I don't want to put on to much info in public on the forum, but lots of people already know this is the ex Michel Oprey car, his name was also on the car).

Michel has driven it some years in the Ferrari/Porsche challenge and some Ferrari events (Spa Ferrari Days, Racing Days Nürburgring etc...). During the winter of 1997-1998 it has had (again) lots of (mechanical) updates/tuning. It was a very fast car!

The black Speedline rims are for the slick tyres and there was a set of BBS rims with raintyres.

Michel has sold the car some years after he stopped racing it.

@enzo588: it's not factory yellow painted. Was a red F40 before conversion.

It has been turned into a full auction now due to "immense interest."

better re-convert into the pretty red F40 it was and it will be worth more and easier to sell….

I assume this didn't sell due to the wide gulf between seller and market value expectations of a track thrashed, modified F40??

They were smart to make it a closed auction. It could have sold for $1.5M for all we know.
