    Over the past year or so, I've been looking on and off for an F40 (one of the few cars I'd consider replacing the CS with). Given the current market, I was wondering if anyone might have an idea as to what the ballpark range would be for a '92 with less than 10,000 miles...something in good/driver condition?

    For the car you are describing I would say something north of $425K, if you can find it. There are few extremely low mileage cars in the market right now, asking over $460K. One of the sponsors on this site, Beverly Hills Classic Cars apparently has a real low mileage F40 on offer.
    The problem with several of the available F40's is that they have been highly modified and altered, and in many cases those mods were really band-aids to fix some or other problem that is no longer readily apparent, but still very much there. You need a lot of patience and caution when entering into the F40 realm.

    How much of an impact would you say mileage has on that figure? In other words, something around 10k as opposed to sub 10k.

    the printed circuit board went out on mine, luckily my company rebuilt it for me. Most people dont have access to that help thouh

    Thanks for the feedback. I'm curious on the circuit board issue...I seem to remember a few people making mention of that in the past. Is that a typical problem based on age?...and if so, is there any way to detect it when doing a preliminary evaluation?

    You need to get a mech do a PPI & have him check that out specifically

    the car will run rough or not at all if the board is bad

    A PPI would definitely be part of the plan. I'll add the PCB check to my list as well.
