I have read about Enzo, FXX, CS registries but I have never seen an F40 registry. Am I missing something or do I need to start one?

Sounds like a good Idea! I don't beleive there is already an F40 registry. Here ill start us of.
    Rosso Corsa/Black Euro F40 S/N-ZFFGJ34B000085494

Car was imported by Steve Maman from somewhere in Europe to Canada. Was for sale in His dealership and i beleive it went to a new owner. I have pictures if anyone is interested.

    There were 1315 F-40’s
    19 LM and GTC’S
    7 GT’S
    AND 7GTE’S
    That’s more than all the 288 GTO’s, F-50’s, and Enzo’s combined.
And none of their registries are complete.

I love the F-40 but you are asking the impossible.

I maintain a very detailed F40 registry since 1987. However, it is not public and I don't plan to put it on a website.

You sound frustrated......In any case, one can always ask for specific history. Don't forget we are talking about 1'315 cars built and their individual histories. BTW, a guy named Mike Collinson in England also did a large F40 registry.

The years are WAY wrong. My car's number is on there, but it's shown as a 1990 (it's really a 91) and I'm pretty sure the interior is not "tan leather." :)

I'm sure Joe Sackey can answer this. All I know is 1311 total, but is that not including or including the official race cars like the GT/GTE/LM????

This was dealt with in another thread yesterday. I keep USA F40 numbers as I focus & specialize in that variant. Let me know if that is of any interest.
