    Hi all techies

I have the F40 workshop and owners manuals, but they don't cover the latest cars in regard to a problem I have on a customers car.

Late F40 have 3 MAP sensors, while early cars and the shop manual only have 2.

I'd like to 100% confirm that the 3rd MAP sensor is simply for the boost gauge operation, or does it perform another function at all??

    Anyone have wiring diagram?

    Note to Ferrari UK....

Major MAJOR MAJOR mis-management decision to find Malcolm Wests position redundant...

You've lost a major gateway to the world of potential customers.

    MAJOR mistake.

Did I say MAJOR enough yet?

    Phil,

I've already written to F-UK to complain about Mal's "leaving" , come on Ferrari UK what sort of company voluntarily looses one of its most valuable members of staff.

    F-UK UP Dept
    Egham on the faceham
    England.

The third Map sensor is for the boost gauge. All three are the same. We broke one on my car and switched out the one that activates the boost gauge untill we could get a replacement. Car ran fine, just no boost gauge.

    Ok, thanks for that Rick.

So I assume on 2 MAP sensor cars, the gauge just piggy backs off one of the control MAP sensors....?

Good question. All the cars I have worked on had 3, as is I believe, US standard.
