I NEED SOME TYRES FOR MY LM. I WAS WONDERING WHAT THE OTHER OWNERS OF F40LM'S WERE DOING ABOUT REPLACING TYRES.
I WAS RUNNING DUNLOP FORMULA R's ON THE FRONT AND BACK. THE FRONTS ARE STILL AVAILABLE, BUT THE REARS ARE NOT MANUFACTURED ANYMORE. SO DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS ABOUT AVAILABLE TIRES
FOR AN F40LM (yes, it's a real one)

Post in tech section. Roland will know. Is this Benny C's ex LMGTC from the US?
Great car. What are the sizes you need? F/R and what are your wheel sizes?

Howdy, just got back from a TV shoot in Los Angeles and got the message from Napolis.
I get my slicks directly from Pirelli and they are in stock.( they sponsor me)
Here are the sizes : 265/645/18 in D5 compound
    325/650/18 in D5 compound
Other compounds are also available. They also have a 335 for the rear but I don't like it because I had to much difference (balance) between front and rear.
I hope that this helps, feel free to get back to me if neede
    Take care

I have 3 sets in 18', one was a Speedline that Chris Parr got and now they are on John's F40. HRE made a set in 18" for street use, but I did many laps with them on street Pirellis without any trouble.
For slicks, I have a set of BBS custom made with the right offset.
The 17" will not fit over the big brakes, some LM had the smaller rotors and had 17" rims.
Chris Parr has a set in 18" from Kinesis, I know that OZ stopped making rims for the F40

Gil, I have your PM and will get back to you tomorrow, I might have deal for your problem. I went back to the 650 size for a ratio reason.

    I got my 18" Ekei/Oz from Michelotto.

They were very reasonable. I believe they carry them as a stock item.
