    1. observed coolant leak under right radiator. after 2 weeks of confirming observations, backed the car on to my lift and removed tire, wheel housing, brake cooling duct, radiator hoses, radiator mounting brackets/bolts, and finally radiator. I did not remove fan as service instruction said because 2 bolts covered up by oil cooler.

    2. radiator appeared to be leaking from upper tank seam

    3. took to radiator shop in Houston and he removed the plastic upper tank which is simply crimped on. he pointed out a crack in the upper tank and a separation in the upper plate (tube sheet). proposed repair was fabricate a new brass tank with mounting brackets from his salvage parts and solder everything up tight. he was confident of the build.

    4. after consideration and some internet searching, I bought a new aluminum radiator from wizard cooling in buffalo, new work. aluminum weld quality in pictures sold me.

    5. actually I bought the other side radiator also as it has signs of failure. my car is driven every 2 weeks and now has 54,000 miles on odometer.

    6. this job so far has been easy.

    Comments/advice from anyone ??

I would love to hear the pricing, part #, and contact information where you ordered it.
Last year, I had to pay the F-pimp $2,200 for one plastic radiator.

Only used ones I think and WHAT do you buy then ? Prices are not that good either ...

Look here for a used one for $1000 (incl VAT and posting) from UK Eurospares ...

For that money I would go for a nice new alloy one like this for sure !

My mechanic got a new one - probably from Ferrari of OC. But if I had know this option was available, this would definitely be the better route - and I would have been able to replace both sides for the same price - and higher quality vs. plastic.
