what elements look like a 355..? all I see is a 488 with a new body kit..

its very nice.. but I don't see anything in relation to the older cars..?

I agree that it looks great. Also don't see any throwback styling nods other than the quad tail lights (which they've been going back and forth on for years), which is probably my least favorite styling aspect at initial glance.

Its just another 458 with a big ugly vent on the hips and a bit of window dressing.

I like it. Hopefully I can pick one up after depreciation in 15 years.

Lots of 488 elements, but maybe it is the red roof and the proportions of how it looks to me in the pictures that has a more classic line. I am probably stretching, but I like it a lot more in pics than a 488.

It's another re-bodied 458. Ferrari is trying to milk all they can before actually creating an entire new car which has not been done (V8) since the release of the 458

Ok, so on the big screen and not my phone, it is definitely an extension of the 488. BUT, they did clean it up a lot and it is the first "modern" Ferrari I like. Except for the stupid door handles. That is the best thing about F355's and the dumbest thing on F355 is the key lock on the door - DOH! Ruins it....

With the 488, I always see them with the black roof - spiders are everywhere here in Dallas. This morning my first impression in all red, was wider, more proportioned, less cab forward. What do I know, but I like it. Now Gated would be nice, LOL.

It's this direction - which is shared by virtually all of the modern manufacturers - that helped me realize I wanted another 355.

Exactly. looks like they are entering the zone of "generic exotic car"

Much like the Honda Accord, Camry, Maxima do

    Nothing original here, NEXT

    Agreed.

There's nothing inherently wrong about the design as it's pleasing to the eye. But substitute a "Corvette" script for the cavallino in the rear view, and it'd look like how I'd expect the upcoming C8 to look. Ferrari design should be cutting edge and less derivative.

Also the performance improvements in a road conetxt are marginal to irrelevant.
Front end is nicer, the rear is interesting because ferrari is now looking lambo.

Nothing here thats new or orgional.

All the points have validity. I prefer the classic F355 Shape, size and simplicity. But from a modern car perspective, this “feels” the best emotionally, especially 4 round tail lamps. Needs 4 exhaust tips out back too.

    I just like it [emoji4]

I like it, nothing wrong with evolving a design, after all the 355 is an evolution of the 348 chassis...
The back end looks much more “Ferrari” than the 488 IMO.
Though I must admit I wasn’t expecting such an incremental change for the 488 replacement.

This is the 488 replacement? Wow - riding the same platform for 3 versions now. Wonder when they will create a new V8?

Agree with most of the posts here. 458 version 3.

I know they're talking about the rear window louvers as if they're great, but to me, that's the biggest design flaw. The 360 and all cars since fixed a big design flaw with the old cars moving to a solid rear window so that you could drive in the rain or park in the rain and not worry about water getting down into the plugs. I can understand this on a race variant version CS, Scud, etc, but doesn't fly on the street car.

I guess this is what happens when Pininfarina is no longer in the picture. Lots of bold, not enough beauty.
