First off, it has become my favorite daily machine, he'll even weekend machine ever.

My Mclaren, Superleggera sit as this gives me my Supercar thrills and daily needs/spacious interior yet still a raw and loud ride when I want it to be ! It's everything

I've noticed some threads about the ff suspension vs f12, ff floaty feel, wanting it to be sharper in terms of feel and shifting

Let me start off by saying, yes I've gotten use to it however my thoughts as follow aren't a byproduct of acclimation, truly trial and error.

I drive the wheels off my cars, I think I truly broke this car in how it was meant to be over the last 3k miles I put on it, it feels like an entirely different car.

First thing to note, in two parts:
    1) my suspension floaty woes were cured by dropping tire pressures to 29 cold which were recommended by my dealer, I got the car with 38-40 and the car felt overly nervous and twitchy. The car feels nice and solid now with no twitch

    2) and this is important, as I had felt and tried in my Mclaren with hydraulic suspension, switching from comfort to sport or esc off on the fly (driving on imperfect road or just in general) seems to calibrate the shocks way better than if you turn on your car let's say in sport and drive off. I'm not crazy, I'm a track guy and bunch of my friends who drove both cars also did the same and noticed the difference. I pull out of my condo garage and as I'm going over the uneven surfaces and dips I put it into sport and he car gets way stiffer than if I just drive off from sport. I want others to try this on the go and see if they notice the difference

Now in regards to transmission response, first off disconnecting the exhaust valve always makes the shifting (up shift and down feel more responsive and snappier, especially in the lower revs where the valve is either closed and or confused. The downshifts almost felt "soft" prior to disconnecting valve and uncertain, now I feel it assertively downshift without the lag or hesitation. Not sure if anyone has had similar experience

Anyway just some of my crazy thoughts and observations.

Be well and stay safe guys!

But, but, but ... it's so ugly !

Seriously, it's the best car ever made. And the best looking in spite of the Lusso love, that will wear off for many in favor of the PF's cutting edge design. Totally agree on the Sport mode trick, have tried it a number of times recently after reading about it on here. Also tried a Capristo which seemed to open up the engine response a touch (A/B tested when I drove a similar FF with the Cap exhaust on, and immediately mine with stock ... and now my car with it on) and def added a good tone at high revs without being obnoxious at low revs around the house.

What can I say, Brian. We are cutting edge gentleman with good taste ;)

But seriously speaking, I think the car is gorgeous and the attention it gets and people saying how beautiful it is in the wild, speaks for itself.

People in my condo think its way cooler and more beautiful than my mclaren and superleggera, which I found shocking. I guess i was pre programmed for all of the hate, and guess what? Have no received one bit of it

Pics to follow, gtc4 looks dated from the back and soft from the front (aggressive they said?) i'll post pics to show how aggressive the FF really is. Too bad people usually cant take decent photographs lol

Anyway not trying to be a hater on the GTC4, I do like the updated infotainment and power obviously. I do however want to put 100k on this FF

I just dont get how people think it's more "coupe like" when to my eyes the GTC4s enhanced lines make it look more hatchback looking and pronounced than the FF's long coupe look. weird, and the front end in the pic i posted looks like a california?

It's good to hear your feedback is the same as mine, people love the car. Only certain Ferrari guys have the balls to say it's ugly.

I definitely like the 4 wheel drive additions to the new Lusso, not that the FF needs help with power or handling. Yet the rest of the new car is seeming like a marketing experiment more than an artwork as I've said.

The FF has a real bravery and understated wholeness to the design overall, with the implied lines, and the many 3s (3 center vents, 3 sided shape of the mesh on the sides and the rear quarter, triangle door pulls that imply the rear line, rear quarter metal x3 intersecting at the one rear light) that all makes for a freedom/dynamism that 4s don't have. And is not afraid of the curves. The GTC4 has actual lines which are overstated IMO, and is all control/symmetry with 4s (rectangular shape of fins and of pulls, 4 rear lights, 4 air vents, rectangular rear end). The brake LED in the body is so not beautiful. It's a safer design, and most people like safe, I get it but I can't see parting with this car. The labels on all the new interior switches and the new steering wheel are so busy and dare I say ugly, they would make me crazy. And I don't care about the new screen.

I really wanted to like the new car, but only like the powertrain. I'm happy it's a hit and don't fear the FF values tanking. People looking to bottom feed will always find something, and be burned later. It's still a Ferrari, the build and the story matter.

The too obvious continuous crease from front top to rear quarter outer top on the Lusso is typical of modern cold pressing techniques used to strengthen panels and to imply strength. Korean style 10 years ago. The semi vertical crease on the rear upper quarter changes metal flow too much and has given it a mass produced look. The truncated rear view which implies two halves, upper and lower, are not seamlessly joined and does, in my opinion, borrow from the VW Scirroco and other modern hatchbacks. The depression in the bonnet, designed supposedly to imply lower centre of gravity, has the opposite effect of the 'power bulge' which is universally accepted as a perfect example of implied strength plus the power bulge of the FF appears hand beaten with soft turns as opposed to the depression which clearly appears 'cold pressed'
Future classic? I have my doubts.

You can't blame Ferrari for trying to make the Lusso more appealing but less risky design for a car that they have a hard time to move... I would be very curious what direction they take with the Lusso successor.

I love the FF for what the car is and the segment it uniquely fills. The car is very hard to photograph. But the design around the tail lights and below the spoiler are still hard to appreciate personally. Like art, the FF is a love/hate object and in that regard F and PF succeeded.

If I can only put the Lusso interior in my FF ... That would be the perfect combination in my Humble opinion ....

And for a counter ... I would prefer the Lusso drivetrain in the FF. Love the interior and exterior both.

New Lusso interior is all switches and labels in bad fonts. The asymmetrical control locations oddly contrast the strong symmetry of the 4 vents and the rectangular 4s all over the car. The new steering wheel is all man switches, not gracefully rendered.

I do think the centered horn is good, for safety it's more intuitive.
