I finally gave in and started using Firefox but one thing is really bothering me... I can't copy an image to the clipboard. So I did a little googling and learned that there are extensions(updates?) you can download that will let you do this, but every link I click is no-workie. Anyone have a reliable source for a Firefox extension that wil let me copy images to the clipboard? I will abandon IE completely if I can make it work.
Maybe I misunderstood you, but I just copied your avatar image to the clipboard and pasted it into Paint. I'm using Firefox 1.5.0.6
OK, that worked for me too. I am also using 1.5.0.6 I guess it is copying the image to the clipboard, but not the image file? Try this: right click on your avatar, copy image reply to this thread and click "manage attatchments" click "browse" then right click in the file upload window. It won't let you paste the image file into the file upload window, and then upload it.
OK, I tried it in FF1.5 and in IE6 and I see what you're saying. IE6 let's you paste the file onto the desktop at the same time that it enters the filename into the file browse field for you, while FF1.5 doesn't do that. To be honest, I never even knew that IE6 let you do that. My standard practice for this kind of transfer was to do a "Save Image As" to the desktop, then when you click the "browse" button in "manage attachments", the imagefile is there to click on. I think this ends up being an an extra click.
