Fisichella speeding

Renault driver Giancarlo Fisichella was stopped by police this Sunday morning for driving over the speed limit. The Italian’s driving licence was suspended, according to Ansa news agency.

Around six this morning, Fisichella was clocked at 148 km/h on an avenue located in a suburb of Rome. The speed limit on that street is 60 km/h.

Fisichella admitted his fault and explained to Ansa news agency that he was in a hurry to see his child, who was feeling sick.

“I was visiting friends with my wife,” explained Fisichella, “when the babysitter called to tell us that our child was having a high fever and wanted to see his mother, so we immediately went back.”

“I know that even in these situations, we have to follow the speed limits,” added the Renault driver. “I am willing to pay for my mistake,” mentioned the Italian.

 

I'm glad to see that Fisico knows how to speed at least in his car. Now if he could show that trait on the race track, that'd be really great.

Did the police report indicate whether he stalled his engine after the incident?

 

Wow i'm surprised the Italian police actually gave him a ticket and suspended his license. Maybe because he doesn't drive for Ferrari.

Good to see he owned up to his mistake and is take full responsibility.

I wonder what car he was driving?

 

The funny thing is he was doing public speeches about the dangers of street racing to Italian kids just last week.
