    Hi

At the bottom pof this web page https://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/classic-car-tyres/ferrari.html i have made a Ferrari tyre fitment guide, based on what i think was either original if it is still available and what is best now we don't have the original tyres.

do you have any thoughts about it. If i have anything wrong please let me know.

250 GT SWB also used 16 inch diameter tyres.

Not saying it's wrong, but I'm surprised that the recommended rim width for the Michelin XWX 225 70 VR15 can be as low as 6 inches. I saw a 365 Boxer with standard 7.5 inch rims all round, but had 225 instead of standard 215 width tyres on the back, and they looked too fat for the rim, so I would not recommend the 225 tyre on the back for the 365 Boxer with standard 7.5 inch width rims. I'd have thought these tyres would need an 8 inch wide rim. The 512 Boxer used the 225 70 VR 15 with a 9 inch wide rim.

AFAIK, the Lamborghini Miura did not use the Michelin XWX as OE.

Just a typo, you have the 288 GTO down as a 228 GTO.

225/70-15 tyres are recommended for rims 6 to 7.5 wide, from the ERTRO book.

Thanks. And yet Ferrari used 9" wide rims with these tyres.
