Flatstoppers

Does anyone have any knowledge and/or experience with this product? Are they really necessary? Do they work?

haven't used that exact product but something similar, if you're going to store a car for a long period (more than a month) its a good idea. if the car just sits for a few weeks between uses, getting the tires up to operating temp usually takes care of the flatspots.

 

Never saw the ones from herrington, but the ones from "tirecradle" have been around for a while. I did a search a while back and I found some good reviews but I have no expeience with them. At almost $100 per tire, they're a bit pricey.

Everyone, these pariahs are playing a scam and getting big $s for it. 'Flat spotting' was a problem many years ago when nylon cord, bias ply tyres were introduced. With modern tyres, any flat spots that may occur during storage will quickly correct themselves after a couple of miles of driving.

Don't be fooled by this scam! The hype in the ad from Herrington is ridiculous.
