Do not listen to this guy. He's from another universe!

Welcome aboard the FOC. Your humble FOC-Midwest board is planning the upcoming driving season and will be letting you know all the details soon.

Great! Thanks and I hope you selected "Midwest" as the region to support so our region gets the part of your dues to do events with.

Anyway, here is our provisional calendar:
    http://www.focmidwest.com/services.html

Nothing too firm I realize, but we did that on purpose: Since we have this nice forum here on FChat, it probably suits more people to set dates more flexible on the fly than elect them months in advance.

Welcome aboard,Spike! Well,as Andreas posted, check out the site for some of this Years Coming Events that have already been planned. Most likely there will be a few more. Also, there are some Highlights of many, but not all,of the Events that we had last Year. We really had a good time...Both with our Bella Auto's,and the Comaraderie of other Ferrari Owners and Enthusiasts in our Area.

We have some really great plans for this Club. And as time progresses, and Membership grows, more Events will come to pass. We are just about now going into our 2nd Year. Still Growing. But,if you look at the Highlights. Our 1st. Year was pretty good.

And,we will have plenty of things to do,so that everyone can get a chance to get out and Drive. If you can't make one, there will be plenty more to enjoy.

Remember....The Motto of the Ferrari Owners Club is: "We Drive!" ...:)

Is ownership a requirement? For an individual who does not own a Ferrari (yet) but is interested in participating in the drives, etc., is membership allowed.

Again, I ask that you all bear with me as I am very much a newcomer to the world of Ferrari.

Ownership is not a requirement. Amazingly enough; I found that out after I became an owner, so could have joined a long time ago (as I did with FCA before owning the car).

Ownership nor membership are requirements for participation in the drives. At least for now. However membership gives you several benefits like the monthly magazine, the club directory, access to FOC memorabilia and last but not least eligibility to win a trophy on some events.

I joined without a Ferrari. Everybody I've dealt with from the club has been great, and I have always felt welcome at club events.

Yes, I added the midwest section to the dues!

    Big request:
Please have the indoor carting event in March towards the end of the month. I'll be out of town around the 10th.

I was checking FVM's site, no date on the track event. But its at Gingerman, which I have wanted to go to. No FCA event there this year (d@mnit!)

We're slowly growing: Just got another email from a new member in Iowa who wants to join us in Chicago for some events.

Also we have now a date for Cruise Night in West Chicago: August 16, trophies will be courtesy of Double K Productions

It's nice to see the club is growing in membership and events.

My offer still stands. And,am adding Black Plate to the Gold,Brass,Silver,Chrome and Brushed Aluminum. These will have: Ferrari Owners Club. Your Name. Your Car,Year,Make,Model, (S/N if you'd like)

These really do look nice in your car-on the Dash,(Glove Compartment Area, mostly) Or,anywhere you want, really. The Console....It Really Personalizes your Car,especially at Car Shows, when there are several "Like"Cars,(Red 308's,for example) and you want everyone to know which one is yours.

Fantastic!!!!....:) Yes,You can check out www.focmidwest.com. Or,if you want,I can send you an Application. Just 'P/M' Me as to where to send it. But,you can do it "On Line". Or,if you want,I will be bringing along a bunch of stuff to the Karting Event on the 19th... And we can tell you more about it.

I saw Jack Stanley and a Buddy at the Auto Show, today, and gave him a couple of Applications. He said that he was a Member before, but, the club wasn't doing anything. Same as when I first joined...which is Exactly the reason the I got the Idea to "Ressurect it"....:)

Yes,there truly are Lots of Great Benefits from Membership. We do not get a "commission" or anything by signing up more Members. It's just that it's a really great Club, with some really great Benefits that we'd really like to see everyone else get a Chance to Enjoy...

And,as we grow, there will be even more Benefits. Like Member Discounts on all of our FOC Events. And,lots more....

Okay Frank. You put me over the edge. New membership app mailed today. $105 for FOC, $15 for Midwest, and $8 sent for an additional name badge for my son. I think its money well spent.
