Maybe you guys saw this already but its pretty incredible. And it only has 12 miles. It is wild that is has sat that long without being driven.
Does anyone know anything about this car, and perhaps how much it will go for?

Its selling at Barrett-Jackson on the 21st of this month.

As I remember this one is not final Lamborghini Diablo VT6.0 SE. Must exist two additional cars - №№41 and 42. One of them (in gold colour) you can see in the factory Lamborghini Museum.

Beautiful car , but IMO a car thats sits for over 10 years and is never driven is not the practical way to go , but i guess whoever buys it will have the money to have a professional go through it . I Know some members here love that low mileage stuff , but i think what a waste of time with a fantastic road car just sitting around for all those years . either way , its very nice ., but 6 speed automatic ? with the shifter right there in plain sight? maybe BJ should stick with American muscle !

I do know the car. I am also here in BJ for the Auctions. It should cross the block on Saturday afternoon at no reserve.

First off it is a Canadian car, not a USA VIN car, so you may have issues with title and emissions in your state. It is not California emissions compliant and may not be for other states as well. You will notice the ODO in KMS as well as the Euro taillight set-up. It was purchased new out of Canada and then into a collection in South Cali. It could not be titled and I dont think the previous owner cared, so it sat in the warehouse. The previous owner sold this and quite a few other cars out of his collection mid last year. A Nevada title was just recently aquired for the car so it could run the Auction, how they got it, I have no idea.

Last year it ran via the Russo and Steel Auction in August at Monterrey with a no sale at $185K, it had a reserve of $250K. This auction it is at no reserve, not sure this is the correct Auction for the car. I think it may hit 180K or so as well, then add the 10% buyers fee and your paying 200K for a car that if you add even another 50 miles just drops in value. The value of this car is purely for a collector that will not add miles to it IMO.

It also is NOT the last Diablo 6.0SE produced, nor that last Diablo 6.0 produced. It IS the last 6.0SE NUMERICAL number assigned vehicle 40 of 40. However there were a total of 43 SE cars produced. 20 in gold and 20 in brown. Then there were 3 other SE cars produced in RHD for UK, these cars were of another color as well, but were SE cars.

In looking the car over, it has date coded orginal tires, no service history, no SE car cover, no tools or books (SE books and cover were a one of a kind for the SE cars). So IMO you would need to spend at least 10K just to get it street safe and serviced, then if you want the books, tools, cover etc..maybe another 3-4K.

I will bid on the car went it comes up, but of course I will be keeping these additional after purchase costs in mind as well. You just never know what happens here, if two bidders have had enought to drink and they both are on the "Speed" TV cameras at the time...it could just get stupid.

Great "backstory" Roy... thanks for posting that. Good luck in the auction - and I
agree that BJ is NOT the right auction for that car - I'll be really surprised if it
hits $180k - I'm guessing a LOT less. Now if it were an old pickup truck....

...oh the agony of driving a queen :D.

You will always watch the odometer. In addition, you will need the business card for a flatbed wrecker. However, it sure does look pretty in the garage :).

Remember this picture? Last two Diablo rolling out of the factory. Notice the Murcielago assembly line in the background. The Marrone Eklipsis car in front with the North American side reflectors might be the car offered for sale here. Behind it is a Oro Elios SE, I think that one is probably the final car made (#42), the one that is currently at the Lamborghini Museum

SE 6.0's will only go up in value, $210k for that car was a pretty good price for the buyer & i'm sure the seller was expecting a bit more.

    Did you get it Roy?

NO, I did not get it> I did ride in up on to the stage and got out of it on the passanger side. I did not get, because as I stated early on, it is not a USA compliant vehicle. This car will either end up sitting in a collection that needs no title or emissions, or go back to
    Canada or over Seas.

As far as the seller, he was there, I know him...of course we all wanted more, but at the end of the day, after seller fee..it is what it is.

Did it sell? I kept checking in on the auction all day (as I usually do because the auctions make great audio wallpaper while you're doing other stuff). But I never caught this lot going up, or it wasn't aired.

If it sold, what did it go for?

Roy when I told my wife about this car, and you're feedback on it, her first response was "Roy is gonna buy that car!" LOL So did you?

WITH fee's car hammered at $231k..then add shipping out, full service, tires..you will be in the car $245K..

No I did not buy it as it is not a USA car, will not pass most States Emissions. Perfect car to go back to Canada or Europe. It was born as a Canadian car.

Wow! So it went back home then?

For some reason I didn't see the federalization issue stopping you, but ya why bother with the headaches. Still...you aren't THAT far from the border! :)
