    what do people think? very rare car, group b rally, etc...a bit odd to look at, but i'm sort of coming around, and i DO love the group b cars..!

    cool car that hardcore gear heads will recognize and drool over ....body parts is apparently uber unobtainium!

    I'm with you. I think they're great, but this is coming from a guy who'd love to put a Renault R5 Turbo in my garage. The Group B's have always appealed to me.

    They were never sold here. I'm guessing that you could bring a RS 200 over for off road or track purposes, but could you ever put it on the road? I doubt it, but I'll be curious to hear what others know about cars such as the RS 200 or a Lancia Delta S4 or 037 Stradale etc etc.

    why couldn't you put an rs200 on the road? it's over 26 years old, has all the road legal bits, indicators, etc...

    037-i LOVE that car...

    ok-which would you choose? lancia 037, or Ford rs200?

    true ....apparently so many have in use, that replacements are non-existant or have to be fabricated
    cool car ...uber turbo lag too

    The Killer Bees, still too warthoggy for me after all these years and the first thing they collectively bring to mind is the loss of Henri.

    200, T16, 6R4, S4....all of them are spectacular cars I'll perpetually have zero interest in. Much prefer their graceful predecessors with 2wd.

    No idea about putting an RS 200 on the road in NY or NJ. I suppose anything is possible.

    Hmm, that'd be a cool choice to have. For me, Lancia 037, without a doubt. It's a Lancia, 'nuff said. It just has a cache that the Ford will never have. But that's a theoretical q&a. The real question is which would YOU choose?

    well, i might have an opportunity to get either one, so i'm trying to figure it out...ford is 60k cheaper than lancia, but as you say, it IS a lancia...plus it looks a bit better than the ford, although i'm guessing the ford would be better/more reliable than the 037...

    a Lancia Delta HF Integrale 16v Evoluzione (II) would be wonderful to own ...the Ford would be great to own now, and a stepping stone to the Lancia later

    the one thing i worry about these cars, is parts substiitution ...a friend who imported a cosworth RS later discovered the engine was infact a lesser cossi block, so really thorough inspection, and confirming parts is key IMO

    That's not exactly true. The engines on the RS200's were very temperamental, and were prone to blowing up at idle sitting in traffic (granted, I think that problem might be unique to the Evo versions). These cars really were not made to be driven on the street normally, despite the fact they made a few road versions. They sat unsold at lots in Britain for a very long time.

    The 037 on the other hand is a complete masterpiece, maybe my favorite Lancia ever save the Fulvia Coupé. You have to be careful with those, of course, because they are some seriously over-engineered cars, but with classic italian temperament. The stradale versions without the huge rear wing (which kill visibility) are my favorite. They were called the Lancia Rally in the US. There was one for sale for a very long time at a dealer in Las Vegas... And another one in Racing trim.

    037 all the way, if it were me.
