FoW Party

Is anyone going to the FoW party next weekend? The race is at midnight and isn't televised at that time as best as I can tell, so that part of the party won't be happening this year. In fact the invite says something to the effect of "A Collection of Fine Italian Automobiles and the Fashion of Neimann Marcus."

I tried to get Redding on the phone to see exactly what this is, but he was busy so I just RSVPed yes.

Anyone else have a clue and/or going to the party?

I'm going. Not sure if Neiman marcus is maybe some sort of sponsor for the event.

I'm going but the race is not going to be shown because it starts so late. Don't need no stinkin race to have fun with gear heads

 

Rumor is that the live race is on at midnight according to the Speed schedule now...

We arent going to this but we will be going to the Italian car tour.

 

Dad and I are going - this is typcially one of the few times each year that Dick Merritt makes a showing; amazing Ferrari stories from the old days - driving a 250SWB (the breadvan) across Indiana in a blizzard, dealing w/ old man Chinetti, etc

I got an invite and will be there with my lovely wife Carola.
Think of this as a night out with cool cars for the guys and high fashion for the ladies...

Still have it and slowly (and expensively) restoring it. It is MUCH improved since anyone on here saw it, although exterior-wise it is the same cosmetically. The entire engine compartment has been detailed/repainted, 100% of the car has been rewired with the proper original fabric covered wiring, interior wood has been completely refinished (actually this job is still ongoing with the car presently in my restoration shop in PA). I'm very anxious to get it back and will bring it to holy donut or something like that sometime this spring.

Apparently I don't rate.. :-( FCA member and have had my 308 serviced there several times including a recent major service and no invite...

I didn't get an invite either... I bought my car their, Im a member of the Ferrari club, had my car serviced their for a while, stopped getting invitations, was told nicely that it was an oversight and be back on the list. I'm starting to believe that it isn't an oversight. But, in all reality who cares life is to short. One less reason to have to drive to Virginia. I'm not saying this to complain, but only to let others know that you are not alone.

I am bringing my 9 year old son to the FoW party and then hopefully to Holy Donut in the morning before going to another car event later Sunday morning. With the F1 race televised at midnight on Speed, and since we live almost 90 minutes south of FoW, I'm thinking of crashing somewhere up there.

Anyone interested in watching the race live....? If not, I'll prob just check for "not too expensive" hotels that have Speed and I feel ok parking a euro 308 outside...
