Because the Bugatti Veyron is now in production... http://www.rsportscars.com/eng/cars/bugatti_veyron.asp
Jebus! Instead of spending 1.5 million and getting 2 mpg, Id rather spend 10k on a sportbike and go just as fast, while geting 40 mpg... I cant imagine any purpose for that car aside from posing. Yes, posing. You will never take a car like that to the track, you wont unleash it on the highway or backroads, you cant actually use it for any kind of utility... You can't even park it in parking lots without coming back to a keyed car! Seriously.. I love bashing cars that cost over a million.. I mean seriously though... whats the point in making a FAST 1.5 million dollar car? You have ot be ****ing nuts to drive that kind of money fast. Jay Leno wouldn't even do that. I can imagine a 1.5 million dollar luxury car. OK, but sports car? Whats the point, you wont ever drive that **** nearly as fast as the highschool student in his slammed civic SI.... lol.... And thats saying something.
To be honest? the same thing. But atleast it looks better. Sure those cars are BUILT to handle and accelerate faster than anything, but thats besides the point. Too much mula to do anything but pose in. With that said, I would love to own one, but I just wouldn't drive it around like I would lets say... a vette. I would enjoy posing in one, as well as washing it every sunday morning. Don't kid yourself guys, you arent Andretti and although you may know how to drive very well, you wouldn't take any risks with your 1.5 million dollar car. Ever.
I guess you rarely go to track days huh ? I have seen 512 M , 330 P3 , 250 GTO , Enzos , F40's , Daytona Comp battling it out on a wet SPA Francorchamps/ MAgny Cours..They arent holding up.
In the posted link it says: <quote> After four years of development, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4, as it will now be called, is ready for series production </quote> Please forgive me for being a killjoy but "is ready for series production" isn't really the same as "in production" is it? /Peter
