In an old Ferrari pocket book of 1971 I found this pic with the caption quote: "Ghia in 1961 did this to a Super America, evidently taking the name to heart" unquote. I never have seen this car, let alone in Ferrari context. Does anyone recognize this car?

Is this thing really a Ferrari ??

I remember that 0423SA (Pinin Farina coupe) was associated with Ghia somewhere...
    Where is 0423SA today ??

Dual Motors, owned by Gene Casaroll, stopped making cars in 1958. This is a later 1961-62 Ghia Chrysler 6.4

There is also a Ghia Chrysler (actually a Plymouth, I think) that is very similar to that Ferrari

There is also a Ghia show car around 1960 vintage that is absolutely free for the taking to anybody who wants it. If I remember correctly, it is in the cargo hold of the ship Andrea Doria that sank in 1960/61. All you have to do is dive down and get it. Anybody else heard that rumor?

Not a rumor: Chrysler Norseman by Ghia is on Andrea Doria accompanied by many Lancias and Alfa Romeos. Andrea Doria sank on 26/07/56.

If I'm not mistaken, I think the first Ghia in this thread (or one like it) was owned by Frank Sinatra. Actually not the ugliest thing on the road. . .

Both the "real" Dual Ghias and the later Ghia Chrysler 6.4s (both of which came in both hardtop and conv't) were very popular with the Hollywood crowd. The current Chrysler 300 sedan has a bunch of styling ques from some of the early 50s Ghia Chrysler show cars.

Here is a link to information on the Chrysler Norseman, which sunk on the Andrea Doria..

There was a climate controlled fifty car garage on the ship, but I read somewhere there were less than ten cars aboard.
