...in his own car, co-owned with Brian Simo from No Fear fame. I have said for years that he is a hugely talented driver that can win in any venue. He's also probably the hardest working and nicest guy in racing today. I am surprised Nascar hasn't welcomed him with open arms. He has more talent than half the field.

Lets hope he finds a drafting partner and stays out of trouble. A top ten for a one car independent at a restrictor plate track would be miraculous. When they get to the Glen, he will show his real potential.

    Go Boris!!

I know they like him, but not enough to give him a full time ride to date.
He's fast in just about everything he has driven, a proven winner, and has the perfect personality for the NASCAR circus maketing machine. With seat time and a properly funded effort, he would be a front runner on a weekly basis. Roadracers that cross over to tractor land successfully are few and far between. He has the best chance since Nadeau.

... since when does Boris do NASCAR? I thought he mainly did T/A and only NASCAR Road Racing Circuits (Sears Point etc.)?

Has he sold out to the LEFT side? The horror!

4th place was an amazing result for Boris.

I can't blame him for going over to the dark side. In the US, NASCAR is the only solid way for a guy to make a decent living in racing. If he could make some good bread in road racing, he would stay there, but why should he bust his ass for peanuts when big bread awaits in hillbilly land.

Well, he has been kicking around NASCAR for around 10 years now. Besides running the road courses as a sub, he ran a full season of Trucks in the late 90's, 10 races last year in Cup for MB2, and has won a pole in all three NASCAR series. Let' s face the facts here, he is by far the best all around racer that we have in the US right now.
