Gold heatshield?

I'm having a Gruppe M air box installed in my 360 Spider.

The kit comes with a steel heat shield and I was thinking about having it either gold plated, gold coloured ZircoFlex or gold foil stuck to it.

What do you all think?

If you have time, I would have the heat shield ceramic coated. Then possibly cover the hot side with foil gold tape.

 

I did the firewall with the Gold stuff from Thermotec. (you can just see it in the pic)

On the airboxes i used their normal stuff.
I'd say wrapping the water tank is also important.

The gold stuff is a real pita to get applied without wrinkles.

I did my airbox lids and front part of the box facing the exhaust with the Thermotec. There is definitely a minimal temperature difference using it.

Decided to go with standard although will consider gold heat shield next year.

Picked up the 360 today. just need to change the blue hoses to black.
