    Hello,

I would be very grateful to anyone who could put me in touch with persons who know this Bentley Continental that was in the show.

The reason for asking is that I am restoring a Ferrari 250GT Lusso and would like to paint it in this exact color.

Thank you much for your help.

I have NO idea if he has any info on this specific car, but...I'd start with Stuart Carpenter at Copley Motor Cars, wwww.copleymotorcars.com

It is a Bentley R Type Continental, the gentlemen's sports coupe. A must have for Bentley collectors.

According to the entrant list from my program, it looks as though this 1954 R Type Continental Coupe was shown by Matthew L. deGarmo, a local classic car sales operation.

These are some of the all time great cars in history and the color certainly is nice.

Thanks John. I do know Matt. A friend and I came up about three years ago to his place to look at a car. Thanks for your note. I will contact him.

    Hi John,

Thanks for your help. I was able to contact the owner and a sample of the paint is on it's way. The internet makes the world a smaller place, doesn't it?

Great news, I think that will be an outstanding color for a Lusso. Best of luck with the paint and other restoration. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product!

BTW, the McQueen Lusso was on display at the Christie's auction tent at the Greenwich Concours and it looks very nice. Perhaps because it was a bit dark under the tent, the color didn't grab me and I would have liked to see it just slightly brighter. Lussos generally look best in the non-red colors.

    Hi John,

I received the paint sample. I was surprised to find it much too gray. The photo shows a much bluer color. Oh well, at least I have the photo to serve as a reference.
