hey everyone, im planning on going to the greenwich concours this june and i have never been. i just have a simple question about attending as a spectator. can i just show up at the event either day and just purchase tickets there and basically "walk in", or do i have to buy tickets in advance?

and is there a preferable day for a spectator to attend? or are both equally decent? thanks in advance

Absolutely just walk in. It is a fabulous show and you will not be disappointed! Saturday is American Classics, mainly pre-war. Sunday is European Sports Cars, all periods up to the mid-late 80's or so.

I've gone as a spectator and as an exhibitor and either way is lots of fun. Bruce and Genia Wennerstrom have put together one of the best shows on the East Coast.

The Greenwich Concours is an amazing show. Make sure to show up on the 6th, I'm exhibiting my 1959 Porsche 356A Carrera GS/GT Speedster, alongside my good friend who will be displaying his collection of 250s (I haven't asked him, however his 250 SWB California Spyder may not be in attendance, it won Pebble Beach 10 years ago, and is currently being prepped for a return to Pebble, and his 250 SWB SEFAC is still being race-prepped for the Monterey Historics, however, he will also be showing a 1973 911E that I now own (it was entered under his name before I bought it, I purchased it this past weekend) and a 1973 Porsche Carrera RS 3.0 (yes, 3.0, it's been given oversized Mahle Cylinders and High-Comp Pistons. He regularly makes fools out of 355 owners.) Anybody who's going to be there on the 6th, keep an eye out for my GS/GT, stop by, say hello, and vote for my car!

Yes, it is and it is in great shape, I think it got a gold at the Breakers, would have had a plat other then for some stupid judges. I would add the car gets driven a lot too, don't worry I am sure your car will score high too

Greenwich is a bit different than other places. They go for overall impression.
I remember a conversation that between Judges regarding my MK-IV.
"There's dirt under the headlight covers."
"True but that dirt is from LeMans."
Great cars. Great fun. Pray for SUN!!!!
