Not my cup of tea, but if that's what the owner likes, it's his car...

Looks like a cross between a GT4, a Vector and Porsche 959. And maybe some doo-doo.

This car has been shown here before, I think it was for sale on eBay. As I recall it actually has a Ferrari rear panel and tail lights, like maybe from a 430? Clearly it takes a lot of skill to do that much work to a car and have such a nice result. And I mean that sincerely. I don't like the blend of old and new, but it's not like it was glued on, the gaps caulked and the result painted with spray cans. It looks better than the 308 Firebird in the other thread, does it not?

Also interesting to me is the black paint treatment of the air intakes behind the rear window. I'm not sure if I like it, but I think it is interesting. On a car with boxer paint if this accent was done in the same paint perhaps it would really work?

This is really different. I have seen far worse things than that done to a Ferrari. To each his own. If the owner likes it, that's what counts. As far as resale, I don't know. Just like street rods. You got to get the right person. Some one with the same taste. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

That's an insult to the noble MR2

Some things need to be left alone. Suspension mods and some tasteful wheels will do much more for the original lovely lines of the GT4 than welding a bunch of new sheetmetal on there.

I'll assume the workmanship was good, but in terms of good taste--ouch.

It's just such a bad clash of styles - it's like:
    * 2 separate projects that were somehow joined together by blind artisans - they would never have done it if they could've actually seen what they were doing!
    * Wearing sandles with a dinner suit
    * Drinking 25 year old malt whisky mixed with cola
    * Putting a pink bow on a German Shepherd dog

    It's like...
