GTO Registry

if there's is one quintessencial ferrari that must be the GTO and they produce only 39, so it won't be neither difficult nor long to create a registry which will be an useful reference for all of us F-chatters
so please we need 38 different replies with the chassis # ,a photo and some info or history, you know about that very car .

here is the last GTO ever made chassis # 5575
it was raced by a woman at Tour de France 1964
currently it is owned by Carlos Hank
now let us all know what the other 38 GTOs are like please
which was the first one?
which one has been restored the most times?
which one has been unrestored at all?
anecdotes, records etc.
P.S. I picked 5575 because I have a rare scale replica of it

hey Zach , thanks for the tip on the book but that book was written by just one author hence only one point of view and source, whereas here in Ferrarichat we are able to read about several different experts and a variety of opinions and knowledge besides being more fun and cheaper.

FWIW, I got a ride in 3223 from Bob Bodin back in '86. Fantastic experience. The car was blue with a white stripe at the time, and the spoiler is riveted to the body. The car is now in Japan.

 

I saw David Piper driving this car in 1995 at Goodwood; it doesn't seem to fit the real ones, is it a rebodied GTE?

ZJPJ Zach: thanks for the hint on the book, but I live in Mexico and here a 3rd world country that's unobtainable .

 

Back in the 70's, I was invited to visit a fellow in LeRoy, NY. That car, #5575 was parked on his front lawn. I also saw the car run at FCA events at Watkins and Lime Rock.
As I understand it (and, my facts may be wrong), Ferrari made 3 1964 GTOs, the first two had aerodynamic slots in the roof, whereas the last (5575) did not.
Wasn't the car oned by Bob Donner at one time?
Taxing my memory farther, I remember a name - Annie Soisebant (sp) being associated with it.
I also rode around Lime Rock in a 1963 GTO, rebodied to 1964 configuration.
OK, historians, are any of my facts correct or is the old memory kaput?

No doubt ............ you've got it all right, except for the french lady driver's name to some extend. This is Annie Soisbault de Montaigu in 5575GT during the 1964 Tour de France where she finished 9th OA, winning the "Coupe des Dames".

in my scalemodel's fender it reads: A. Soisbault- Montaigu N. Roure # 170
but I didn't know it was the lady driver's name...until now
thanks again to Boudewijn his pic collection must be other-worldly...
